Who is behind 911Finder

Technical experience.
Data-led judgement.

Behind 911Finder is Thomas Ottenstroer: technician, former workshop manager and today a market analyst specialising in the Porsche 911. The market monitoring system he built himself combines hands-on technical experience with current market data, and has since grown into a platform of its own for dealers: MarqueScope.

The first sports car he sat in as a child was, of all things, a Ferrari F40. It still ended up being the Porsche 911.

For buying advice and sourcing mandates, 911Finder represents the buying client exclusively and receives no commission from the seller. Selling mandates are separate services and are always identified as such.

"The Porsche 911 has not let go of me since I was four years old."

Frequently asked

What buyers ask us beforehand.

What does an assessment cost, and how quickly is it ready?+
The Digital Audit & Market Check costs €199 incl. VAT and is usually delivered as a PDF dossier within 24 hours. Purchase Advisory costs €499 and includes the audit. Technical Due Diligence on site starts at €790 plus travel from Fehmarn.
How does the reference book differ from the free buyer's guide?+
The buyer's guides on this website give an overview of weak points, inspection points and market prices for each model. The reference book, which we call the Investor Dossier & Technical Compendium, covers exactly one model with 248 to 627 pages, engine and option codes, production figures, market data, price forecast and checklists, as a searchable PDF.
Do you work for buyers or for sellers?+
In buying advice, assessments and sourcing we represent the buying client only and receive no commission from the seller. Sales mandates are separate services, shown transparently.
Do you assess cars anywhere in Germany?+
The Digital Audit and Purchase Advisory are carried out remotely, so the car's location does not matter. Technical Due Diligence takes place where the car is; travel from Fehmarn is charged at €0.59 per kilometre for the round trip, a final price incl. VAT. Example: 250 km away, 500 km in total, €295 for travel.
Do I need to have found a car first?+
No. If you are still searching, read the free buyer's guides and price trends or go deeper into one model with the reference book as PDF. If you would rather hand over the search, commission the sourcing mandate.
