3.0-litre twin-turbo · 480 PS

  • 3.0-litre twin-turbo flat six with 480 PS (+30 PS over the S)
  • Specific GTS calibration for a more direct response
  • Sports exhaust system as standard, with reduced insulation for a more intense sound
  • Status: regarded as a very robust engine

  • High-pressure fuel pump (HPFP): can fail in isolated cases (symptom: starting problems/loss of power). Cost: €1,500 - €3,000
  • Water pump: isolated leaks are known (€600 - €1,200)
  • Exhaust flaps: the mechanism of the sports exhaust system can stick with age
  • GPF: the petrol particulate filter has been technically inconspicuous so far, but it does damp the sound
Body and electronics +
  • PCM 5.0/6.0: known for occasional software crashes or Apple CarPlay connection problems. Check for updates.
  • Door handles: the electrically deploying handles can stick or freeze
  • Centre lock (if fitted): looks superb, but requires special tools and two people to change a wheel
  • Race-Tex: the Alcantara-like material on the steering wheel and seats needs more care than smooth leather
Expert note on the lightweight package: the optional lightweight package saves weight (bucket seats, less insulation, lightweight glass), but makes the car considerably louder inside. On a test drive, check whether that suits the use you have in mind (long-distance driving, for example).
