To send enquiries through this website's contact form we use the service Formsubmit (formsubmit.co). The details you enter in the form (name, email address, telephone number where given, subject and message) are transmitted to Formsubmit for the purpose of email delivery and forwarded from there to us by email. This data is not stored on the website itself.

This website uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly web analytics service provided by Plausible Insights OÜ, Västriku tn 2, 50403 Tartu, Estonia. Plausible uses no cookies and stores no personal data. Only aggregated usage data is recorded, such as the pages visited, referral sources, approximate origin (country), device type and browser; IP addresses are neither stored nor processed on a lasting basis. No attribution to individual people is possible.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (a legitimate interest in statistical analysis of how the website is used, in order to improve what we offer). Further information can be found in Plausible's privacy policy at plausible.io/data-policy.
This privacy policy also applies to the website www.marquescope.de, which is operated by the same controller. The sections on hosting, server log files, web analytics with Plausible Analytics and TLS encryption apply there in the same way. Fonts and videos on marquescope.de are loaded from our own server; no external form service and no embedded YouTube videos are used there.
Through the „Demo anfragen“ (request a demo) form on marquescope.de you can request a demonstration of the software. First name, surname, company, email address, optionally your telephone number, the area of interest you select and your message are collected. The details are sent to us by the web server directly by email; they are not stored on the website itself. We use the data solely to handle your enquiry, to arrange an appointment and for any follow-up questions, and we do not pass it on without your consent.
The legal basis for the processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken prior to a contract). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed to handle your enquiry, provided no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.
On the page Video Podcast we embed videos from the YouTube platform. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
The videos are not loaded automatically. When you open the page you see only preview images stored on our own server; no data is transmitted to YouTube or Google at that point. Only when you actively start a video by clicking the play button is a connection to YouTube's servers established. YouTube then receives the information that you have visited the page in question, along with technical data such as your IP address, and may set cookies or use similar technologies. If you are also logged into your Google account, Google may associate the use with your account.
We use YouTube's extended privacy mode (embedding through youtube-nocookie.com). According to YouTube, no cookies for personalisation are set in this mode before playback.
The legal basis for loading the video is your consent, given by clicking the play button, under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG (the German Digital Services Data Protection Act). The consent applies to that visit to the page; the next time you visit, videos are again loaded only after a click. Transmission of data to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For services such as the Digital Audit, the Porsche 911 Purchase Advisory, Vehicle Documentation & Market Valuation and the sourcing mandate, you send us documents relating to a car, for example listing links, vehicle registration documents, service books, invoices, appraisals, photographs, control unit logs or correspondence with a seller. These documents may contain personal data, for instance your own data as the owner, or data of third parties such as previous owners, sellers or workshops.
We process these documents solely in order to provide the service instructed: to assess, place in context and document the particular car, and to produce the agreed result (for example a PDF dossier or a vehicle record). Please send only the documents needed for the service, and redact third-party data that is not required for it.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (a contract or steps taken prior to a contract). Where documents contain third-party data, we base the processing on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (a legitimate interest in assessing the car properly on our client's instruction). The data is not passed on to third parties, with the exception of correspondence with the seller or dealer within the Purchase Advisory or the sourcing mandate, which takes place on your instruction and in agreement with you.
We store the documents for the duration of the service and beyond that only insofar as statutory retention obligations (in particular commercial and tax law periods for invoices and instruction records) require it. After that the documents are deleted. On request we delete documents not subject to retention obligations as soon as the instruction is completed.
For payments when purchasing the Investor Dossier & Technical Compendium we use the payment service provider Stripe. If you select that payment option, you are taken to a payment page provided by Stripe.
Stripe processes the data entered on the payment page together with the information that arises technically during use. This may include in particular your name, email address, billing address, payment details, order and transaction data, IP address and device and browser information. From Stripe we receive the information we need in order to allocate the payment, deliver, issue the invoice and, where applicable, handle refunds or payment problems. We do not receive full card details.
Our own processing is carried out in order to perform the contract, on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Where we are required to retain payment and invoice data under commercial or tax law, the processing is additionally based on Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
In processing payments, Stripe may act partly as a processor and, for certain processing operations, in particular fraud prevention, security, compliance with legal obligations and the operation of its payment services, as an independent or joint controller. Which Stripe company is involved depends on the service used and on the particular purpose of the processing. Further information can be found in the Stripe privacy centre and in the Stripe privacy policy.
Stripe may also transfer personal data to affiliated companies and service providers outside the European Economic Area, in particular in the USA. According to Stripe, it bases such transfers, depending on the recipient and the processing, on an adequacy decision, in particular the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework for recipients certified under it, or on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission. Stripe provides the details in its privacy centre.
We store the payment and invoice data we receive for the duration of the statutory retention periods. Beyond that, it is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed to perform the contract or to assert or defend against possible claims. The retention periods at Stripe are governed by Stripe’s own statements.
If, by prior arrangement, you order the compendium by email and settle the invoice by bank transfer or PayPal, no data is transferred to Stripe. In that case you receive the full privacy information on PayPal together with the offer or the invoice.
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser's address bar beginning with "https://".
