Three tools, one volume

The core elements

Three building blocks make the compendium a basis for decisions: a valuation system, the market analysis and the tools for practice.

The valuation system

The 100-point score

The compendium's valuation matrix, derived for the particular model and applied to typical car profiles.

  • The valuation matrix as a chapter of its own (Part 4)
  • The score in practice (Part 6)
  • Five typical car profiles and how they score
  • Case studies and decision sheets for real market profiles

The investor dossier

Part 5 of every compendium: the market in figures, from price development to exit strategy.

  • Market price development in detail
  • The correlation between price and mileage
  • How long cars take to sell, and their liquidity
  • Return, scenario analysis and exit strategy
  • Risk analysis: market, engineering, liquidity, the risk of a bad purchase

The appendix of checklists

The tools for the viewing and the purchase, to work with directly at the car.

  • Checklists for the viewing, the PPI, the documents, the test drive and the price negotiation
  • Working sheets, checklists and valuation forms (Appendix A)
  • Data sources, valuation logic and market methodology (Appendix B)
