The summit of the 991 series
The most powerful road-legal 911 of its day
The Porsche 991 GT2 RS marks the absolute summit of the 991 series. With 700 PS, pure rear-wheel drive and a Nordschleife time of 6:47.3 minutes, it suspended the laws of physics on its debut.
Technically it is based on the Turbo S, but it was radically transformed: larger turbochargers, innovative water injection to cool the charge air and consistent lightweight construction (magnesium, carbon, titanium) make it the most powerful road-legal 911 of all time (as of its era). With a limited run of around 1,000 cars (plus the replacements for the four cars lost at sea), it is today a sought-after asset in the half-a-million-euro class.
